Final UVA appt

I went yesterday for my final appt at the UVA. I had the 2 1/2 hour fasting glucose test and other baseline readings. It went fine. The head Dr of the study came in to thank me, the nurse was much better this time and I got a nice quiet room with a bed, warm blankets and mindless TV. I turned in all my urine samples. My cycles the last 3 months have actually been a bit short, but they've been there the last 3 months - better than long or nonexistent I say! They told me that in the tests they did during the treatments, I had not ovulated at all - they would let me know if any of the urine tests showed ovulation from the last 3 months. They will be sending all my baseline test results to my ND, who will pass them on to me.

I am looking forward to starting back on the progesterone and estrogen creams!

Another cycle

AF arrived Sept 5 - 10. I was emotionally a WRECK this time at the beginning. Not fun, but better after. I think there were only 24 days between this time and last - a bit short, but better than long or non-existent!

I EXCERCISED!!!!

Alright, been putting off and putting off exercising... realizing how quickly muscle disappears when it's not in use! I pulled out T-Tapp and did the floor routine called "Secret to a Flat Stomach" :-) I acutally did the whole routine 3x to be sure I got it despite interruptions, it's pretty short. I am planning to get back to my 15 min basic routine daily again soon - but am proud of myself for doing SOMETHING today!!! Now off for a tromp through the woods with the kids to see if we can find any lizards or snakes for Will.

Updated

After writing the post below, I started my cycle the same day - day 30, woo hoo! Two weeks of spotting was no fun, but at least there was a fairly normal time between. I am looking forward to being done with the PCOS study so that I can take some more supplements and hormone creams. In the meantime, I am continuing to work on weight loss. It's amazing how much my mood improved as soon as my cycle started. I feel so much better while on my period - even with cramps and aches - it's wierd.
