October 7

My first appointment is set! I am excited and nervous to move on in this journey. My 60 days of initial charting will be up on September 29 and my appt with Dr. Yeung is a week later. I will continue to chart using the Creighton Method and send it to the Dr, but this gets enough to hopefully give him a decent picture of what is going on with me and where to go next. My wonderful teacher, LaDean Barnes is preparing my referral letter and gathering all my data for him. My hope for this appt is to have a good consult with the Dr, to get some initial exams and tests done or labs ordered, I also am hoping for a prescription for Metformin as it will often help by stabilizing any insulin resistance and lowering testosterone.

Timeline of our journey

Married May 25, 1996 - dreamed of having a houseful of children.
Feb '97 - visited an OB, concerned that we had not yet conceived, she prescribed Clomid.
Mar '97 - pregnant, baby girl born Dec '97
Dec 28 '98 - BBT chart showed triphasic pattern, miscarriage shortly after - Gabrielle Hope.
July '99 - visited OB because of abdominal pain, prescribed Clomid.
Sept '99 - pregnant, baby girl born June '00.
April '01 - started herbs, charting, low-carb diet. Lost 50#.
October '01 - pregnant naturally, baby boy born July '02.
July 15, '05 - bbt chart showed triphasic, miscarried shortly after - Sera Aaliyah.
June '08 - official PCOS diagnosis from UVA clinical study (though self-diagnosed years ago).
'05 - '10 - various stages of dieting, charting, supplementing, crying, laughing, ignoring, hoping, praying, trying, giving up...
July '10 - heard about Creighton Model FertilityCare System and began classes and initial 60 day charting.
Aug '10 - started using LadyComp fertility tracker
Sept 29 '10 - 60 days of initial charting completed, continuing classes and learning lots.
Oct '10 - started a multi vitamin, 2,000 IU D3 daily, and 1,000 mg time-release Vit C 2x daily
Oct '10 - started checking for ferning patterns with microscope.
October 7 '10 - first appointment with NaPro Dr. - initial exam went well, prescribed Metformin and an antibiotic, ordered CMP and lipid labs.
Oct 15 '10 - started prenatal vitamin, probiotics and digestive enzymes. Tom started Vit E, Pygeum, B12.
Oct 25 '10 - Started Metformin sustained release, 500 mg working up to 1500 mg over 3 weeks
Nov 1 '10 - took 500mg Metronidazol (antibiotic) for week of menses, to clear up any possible infections contributing to continuous mucus cycles and make identifying peak day simpler.
Dec '10 - 100mg Soy Isoflavones days 5-9 of cycle
Jan '11 - took 200mg soy isoflavones cd 5-9, led to 3 weeks spotting and very delayed ovulation - not doing soy again!
Feb '11 - current supplements - B12, C, D3, Cinnamon, Digestive Enzymes, Krill oil, Metformin, Prenatal, Probiotics, Royal Jelly, ToCoQ10
April '11 - cycle with only Metformin
May, June & July '11 - 5mg letrozole cd 3-7 and 2,000iu hcg 3,5,7&9dpo.
July 19, 2011 - appt with local Dr. Albers for consult and to request ultrasound of ovaries
Jan '12 - began to focus on diet and exercise to lose weight and prepare to see new NaPro Dr coming to area in Aug.
June-Aug '12 - took a charting break
Aug 9 '12 - +hpt!!!! 5 weeks preggers
Aug 15 '12 - appt with NaPro Dr. H hcg 1374 / progesterone 10 (low) - started 200mg natural compounded progesterone injectables 2x weekly and bi-weekly lab draws to test levels and adjust dosage.
